2016.02 – Girl Scouts @ Salvation Army
This past February’s charity event brought us back to the Salvation Army in Ontario, CA where we not only helped provide meals for nearly 80 families in need, but also provided music to help set the ambiance for the dinner. Oh, and by the way, we also had the pleasure and opportunity to share our efforts with a little teeny organization that you may, or may not, have heard of once or twice before… Girl Scouts of the USA!!!
Bellies were warmed with an assortment of deliciously fresh made food. Oven baked chicken sandwiches, crispy caesar salad, fresh coleslaw, potato chips, and pickled jalapeños. A great meal washed down with bottled water, coffee, hot chocolate, and tea! It was quite a treat for all of us.
All in all, it was a wonderful Wednesday evening for us spent with a whole team of amazing individuals all dedicated to making a difference (no matter how big or small) to the those who need it most. A big thank you to the Salvation Army of Ontario for allowing us to come in and help where needed. A gigantic shout out to all the Girl Scouts of troop 1004 who helped make the night incredibly special. You were the stars of the show. We can guarantee this won’t be our last time doing this amazing program 😀 Until then…
